I've mostly been on facebook in the last couple of years, but I've decided to try keeping up on my blog again.  So for those of you that haven't read my facebook page, please like my page here.

Kits in the Store!!

I have been so busy between eye surgeries, holidays, and family vacations... but I've finally had a minute to add more kits to my new store at With Love Studio for this weekend.  It's so cold here that we're heading for warmer climates soon for a visit to Mickey Mouse;)  So I decided to add Paradise, a tropical kit perfect for those needing to take their minds off winter and the cold weather lately!

LDS Blog Train - A Christmas Blessing

Merry Christmas to everyone:)  I hope we all have the opportunity in the coming days and week ahead to think about all that we are blessed with.  I am so grateful for the ultimate Christmas blessing we are all given through the birth of Jesus Christ and consequently his life and mission here on this earth where he atoned for the sins of us all.  I am grateful for the blessing we have to repent and come unto Christ for the only true happiness we can find in this life and the next.  I am especially grateful at this time of year for families.  I pray we can all hold our little ones (and older ones) a little tighter through the holidays.  Look for the light in a very dark evil world we live in.  That is the Light of Christ and the real reason we celebrate Christmas.  Click on the image below for my portion of A Christmas Blessing, and then follow the train below for all the other beautiful and fun pieces of this kit.  Have a wonderful Christmas time:)

Well, I am still so tired from staying up too late the other night.  I remember the days when I could stay up all night and be just fine.  But I guess my age is catching up with me:(  But I've recovered enough to get this freebie posted!  It coordinates with my kit, Wonderland, perfectly!  Check it out, the flower is layered fabric I burned then photographed then extracted myself for a funky addition to my whimsical Wonderland.  If you haven't already grabbed this kit for free, you have less than 2 days left to get it at godigitalscrapbooking now for FREE!

Round 4!! And a fabulous freebie...

So excited I made it to the 4th Round of this fun Designing contest at godigitalscrapbooking!  I've learned so much and had so much fun getting to know some of the other ladies in the contest.  For this final kit, I created a whimsical kit in bold colors called Wonderland.  I was inspired by the whimsical imagination of those who created the original Alice In Wonderland book, and also those that have created movies, attractions, and rock bands inspired by this theme. Picture a dreamlike, fantasy place, Wonderland at night. This kit was designed to really make your photos pop with the contrast of such bold vibrant colors.  Grab it while you can for a LIMITED time over at godigitalscrapbooking and check out all the other fabulous entries. I have no idea how the judges will determine a winner because every kit looks so wonderful!!

I have another freebie that coordinates with this that I need to finish packaging and loading later so stay tuned.  But for now, I stayed up past 3 am to finish Wonderland for the contest deadline, and I am so trashed!  So check back later after I've had more sleep:)

Once upon a Romance...

I made it to Round 3 of the designer contest!!!  It has been so fun!  This last challenge was really a challenge.  We had to create most of what we did ourselves with limited use of a CU designer bag made exclusively for us, the contestants.  It really was fun though to "stretch" a bit as I created.  In other words, instead of throwing a regular frame in this kit, I tried to think creatively and came up with the pretty little frame below.  You can grab both the cluster frame as well as the kit, Once upon a Romance, at the gallery at godigitalscrapbooking.com!  Let me know what you think, and hopefully I'll be back with a freebie somewhere in between turkey and Christmas shopping!

I'm ready to DESIGN again!

This year has been so incredibly busy!  I cannot believe all that has happened just since June.  I took a break from designing... actually forced myself to take a break because I literally did not have time for anything else but family life.  We went on too many vacations if that's possible, a couple of funerals, baby blessings, and baptisms... We got new carpet, new furniture, and all kinds of exciting new things after a bonus blessing or two.  I kept telling myself I'd take time for me soon...  and soon never happened.  Then I realized I was getting depressed from the lack of creating anything.  We as women I believe were meant to create things.  If not digital scrapbooking, then some other craft, sewing, painting, or various other things.  I sincerely believe we feel better when we CREATE things.  So I started REALLY missing designing scrapbooking kits.  So behind the scenes this last month, I have been cleaning up, re-packaging, and retiring many many older kits.  I also started DESIGNING two wonderful kits that will be available soon-- a vintage heritage kit, called Faded Photographs, and my 2nd kit in the Princess Collection, Stroke of Midnight.  I also signed up for a Designer Contest :O SCARY, but I thought it'd really get me going with my skills again.  And I'm going to be opening a new store very soon!  Wish me luck with all the new exciting things ahead!  And stay tuned for information on my new store and new kits!  Have a great Halloween!
